The MEGALUX's equipment (software or computer equipments, hardware of measurement or communication) makes it possible to perfectly answer to our customers expectations.


Each year, we invest in a significant way in hardware in order to stay at the top of the technology.

MEGALUX is the only company which can use the extraordinary possibilities of " HORUS " and " KHNOUM " software.
     
" HORUS " is a 2D optical design software used to research new optical shapes. It was conceived by the inventors of the Fluid Optics.
       
" HORUS " was conceived to obtain the solutions by taking into account the essential parameters with the optimization of an optic and also by taking into account the requirements of our customers.
   

" HORUS " also contains the essential tools for the analysis of the beams of light: angular, enumeration, focal zone modeler sensors, and so on...

" HORUS " handles any definition of curves: file of points, equations, splines, NURBS, and so on...

" HORUS " computes with a very high degree of accuracy of calculation (10-12).
       

Example of analysis of the light density of an almost-focal zone by a matrix sensor of HORUS. The colour cyan corresponds to a number of 0 rays whereas the magenta colour corresponds to 65 rays. The intermediate colours correspond to intermediate values. This sensor contains 40 columns and 20 lines is 800 compartments.

Conceived more recently, " KHNOUM " is a 3D simulation software able to compute in a deterministic way the results of an optical system without manufacturing prototypes.

Our software, the sources of light are modeled in their geometrical reality (volume of the bulb, position and size of the filament) and photometry (space distribution of the light which they emit).

Like Like "HORUS", " KHNOUM " is able to make very powerful analysis. It supports the surface NURBS, and compute with a very high degree of accuracy of calculation (2.10-5 radian) which makes it possible to get the result of a system optical without manufacturing prototype.

When the simulation is finished, simple CAD software is enough for displaying the 3D results obtained.

Our CAD software supports the most wide-spread files format.

Our computers are equipped with a great computing power and allow us to exchanges the CAD models with all engineering study office.
     
Moreover, our data-processing equipment is frequently renewed in order to benefit the performances of the most recent hardware.

Our software and hardware equipment is fully integrated and allows us to take optical measurements in our lab or in the customers’ sites.
     
Of course, our laboratory is equipped with the hardware required to analyze various systems:

  • integrating sphere,
